Gordie Howe

That’s "Mr. Hockey" for you. Gordie Howe's illustrious career saw him score 801 goals, setting a then NHL record. As part of the Red Wings' legendary "Production Line," he celebrated four Stanley Cup victories (1950, 1952, 1954–55). Beyond his scoring prowess, Howe earned the nickname "Mr. Elbows" for his tenacious and gritty style of play.

While I'm not advocating for fighting, unlike certain players (cough, Gretzky, cough), Howe didn’t rely on an enforcer to settle disputes. He famously inspired the "Gordie Howe hat trick"—a game featuring a goal, an assist, and a fight. And though he didn’t quite play until he was 100, his career lasted until he was 52—an eternity in hockey terms.
